Sentry's self-check QuickCheck™ stations have an intuitive, user friendly and flexible design that meet the needs of customers with Electromagnetic (EM), Radio Frequency (RF) and RFID based technical solutions as well as a combination of EM and RFID technologies. QuickCheck™ is available as a free standing Kiosk model and Desktop version with options for colors and finishes to match the library's decor. Built-in stations are also available to be installed into new or existing library furniture.QuickCheck™ also can be customized to meet specific and often unique requirements. The system has a touch screen monitor and offers step-by-step instructions to guide patrons through the check-out process of all library materials including CDs, DVDs, and magnetic media.
QuickCheck™ can be configured with a system controlled DVD/CD unlocker that allows users to open locked cases without the participation of library staff. As DVD/CD collections increase, it is critical that self-service system can effectively process locked boxes.
QuickCheck™ operates using both traditional bar-code labels or RFID labels and interfaces with all standard circulation software.
The system includes a remote administration software package called Sidekick™. Sidekick™ is a unique tool to monitor the performance of single or multiple stations including retrieval of log files, configuration changes and software updates.
QuickCheck™ is installed in major public and academic libraries throughout North America. Ease of system operation has resulted in patron usage rates far in excess of customer expectations.
Self-check Models
The QuickCheck™ patron self-check unit is able to work with all industry standard EM, RF, and RFID security systems. If your library is interested in the self-check possibilities, and does not have a security system, Sentry can provide a self-check system that does not contain a security feature. If the library chooses to purchase a security system later, the QuickCheck™ unit can be upgraded to work with the technology selected by the library.

The QuickCheck™ patron self-check unit is also available as a RFID system. Libraries do not need to purchase a self-check unit enabled with RFID initially. Sentry offers libraries the choice to upgrade the QuickCheck™ unit at a later date. Once the library is ready to use RDID, a RFID module is added into the existing unit. The Sentry program works with any ISO standard RFID tag.
